Keep your kids SAFE!

familywatchdog is a sex offender look up site. You just need to type in your address and it will show you if there are any sex offenders in you area. You can also click on the little red squares to see a picture and the address of the person. It will also tell what the offence was. I think that all parents should be prepared. If your kids go out to play you should know who's in your area and who to watch for.

Obviously we should all talk to our kids about these types of things as well. Teach them not to talk to strangers and what not.

I hope this is helpful to you all!!

Fun and Educational Sites.

Need a way to keep the kids busy? I know at times I could use some help. The site recommendations here are fun, exciting and educational. You're kids will love these sites.

The first one I want to recommend is call funbrain.com. This site is wonderful. They have four main area of this site: A flash arcade area that help teach math and reading, a area called Classic Funbrain where kids can choose from a variety of number and word game and many more fun games, the 3 main area is called web books + comics where they can choose books and comics to read, and last they have a movie area where your child can get the buzz on movies, kids tv shows and more.
When your child wants to play a math game they are able to choose what grade level they child are at. The reading area gives the child a selection of books and comics to read right there on the computer. They also show an area for kids to learn verb, nouns, adverbs etc. it is called MAD LIBS-JUNIORS. And that's not all this site offers so much more, it gives ideas for the whole family, message boards, printables, recalls, news letters, expert advise and a place to find toys for your kids. This is a great place to be for you and your kids. See what else you will find here:

This site is great for learning about, animals and there habitats, geography, history, science and astronomy. They also offer arts & crafts, a place to draw or color, games, jokes and stories. http://www.geocities.com/Athens/1850/

And of course, there's PBSKids, where kids can go to learn about their favorite shows, play games, listen to music, and color.

At thekidzpage you will find plenty of games, puzzles, activities, coloring pages, clip art & more for children, parents, teachers.. Here the kids can make their own holiday card for school. Right now they have great valentines day clip art.

Kidscom is for a slightly older group of kids. Here they can play games, chat and make friends, create their own music, invitation cards, and scrapbooks, they can write their own stories, build virtual characters, and decorate a virtual house. There is definitely a ton more to do here to keep a your pre-teen busy.
